Peter Bance
Peter sits on a number of public-private energy technology Boards (including ESC and ERP), has a history of successful fund raising, was CEO of an Aim-listed distributed generation company and has a PhD in physics from Oxford. This background contributes a strong business and commercial competence to Origami’s leadership team to match proven technical and entrepreneurial capabilities.

With over 20 years’ experience delivering, optimising and supporting B2B and B2C SaaS operations, Peter has a deep understanding of operationalising and scaling technology platform businesses. Peter joined Origami from San Francisco-based leading independent B2B SaaS advertising management company, Marin Software. As an Executive Team Member, UK MD and Senior Vice President of Operations at Marin, Peter led the global delivery, support and security of AdTech SaaS platforms, powering $7 billion of annualised digital advertising spend. Prior to Marin, Peter was Head of Global Product Delivery at leading online gaming company, Betfair. He matured and scaled the organisation with initiatives such as moving to a continuous software delivery - significantly reducing time to market and addressing major operational impediments.

Steve is a digital technology leader with over 20 years’ experience delivering change in high performance, scalable and innovative online products and platforms. He has a software engineering background with a strong focus on the sustainable delivery of high quality software at pace. Steve’s previous experience includes leading Betfair.com software development teams through major architectural change, high growth and IPO and he was CTO through the competitive sale process of Alertme.com, eventually selling to British Gas for their ‘Hive’ service. Steve was also CTO for innovative online utility company, Ovo Energy.

Paul was Chief Technology Officer for Ocado for 9 years, the world’s leading technology platform for online groceries.
Paul sits on a number of advisory boards including the AI Council, Robotics Growth Partnership, Robotics and AI in Extreme Environments, Food & Drinks Sector Innovation Group and he chairs the CBI Innovation Council. In his advisory roles and thought leadership within government, he is a champion for big, long-term and disruptive thinking, particularly in areas such as AI, robotics, infrastructure and education, to help create a smart, prosperous and sustainable UK. Paul read Physics at Oxford University.
Mike Jackson has over 25 years of experience in the UK Power and Gas trading industry and in particular in leading teams of traders in the short-term Trading and Dispatch markets. He was also responsible for Forwards Trading and optimisation of over 6GW of UK generation plant. In addition, Mike was instrumental in the development of the UK Power exchanges and auction, along with the associated IT systems.
Felix von Schubert has over 18 years of private equity, technology investment and operating experience. His experience includes founding Zouk Capital, an independent private equity and infrastructure fund manager dedicated to the cleantech and renewable energy market, managing over €600 million.
Goran Strbac is a Professor of Energy Systems at Imperial College London with extensive experience in advanced modelling and analysis of operation, planning, security and economics of future energy systems. He is a member of the Editorial Boards of a number of scientific and engineering journals, participates in working groups within CIGRE, CIRED IET, IEEE and IEA, has co-authored 5 books and published over 180 technical papers.
